having severe stomach pain!!?
I’ve had a problem for about a year,went to doc. did all kinds of tests.I was told I had h-polri,was treated several times for that,didn’t go away,still having pains in upper part of body,they did more tests,found cist or tumor,now I have blood and mucus in stool,I also have pain in my shoulder blades,neck,glades,lower back,legs,chest,lungs, think I have stomach cancer could it go undetechted…please help anyone..
I’m going to use personal experience and professional knowledge for you. This is why I went into holistic nutrition, the doctors couldn’t figure it out.
First, go see a gastrointerologist. Ask to be tested for Celiac Sprue. Some doctors out there will not test for it, insist upon it! Mucous in the stool is a sign of Celiac along with the stomach pain. A blood test will be performed. Now, a more accurate test is the Small intestine biopsy. It sounds bad, but it isn’t. They have you under drugs so you don’t know what’s going on. They stick a camera probe down your throat and look at the upper digestive tract, while they are there they will take a couple of samples of the small intestine (it doesn’t hurt). Then you are in the recovery room ready to have someone drive you home. Simple. It will ease your fears about stomach cancer as well.
As for your other problems, the stress may be making all of this worse. As a precautionary measure, don’t ingest Aspartame. In other words, get away from nutra sweet. If you drink diet sods…stop. Anything that says sugar free stay away from.
I was told I had H-Polri, then acid reflux, then stomach cancer. My gall bladder was removed. I insisted upon these tests and found out I had Celiac. I have a more complicated case because I also have gastroparesis (my stomach doesn’t move to digest food). It took them 4 years to find it out. I was even told to see a counselor at one point. I now know that doctors really do “practice” medicine.
