I got in a car accident 2 years ago and I still have neck pain?
About 2 years ago I was involved in a car crash, where the car hit my car from behind, i was flung forward, but the seatbelt stopped it. I didn’t notice any pain, but a few days later chronic neck pain started coming. I saw the doctor, who said it’s whip lash (he didn’t examine me), and told me that it should eventually go away.
Two years have passed and the pain is still there, i’ve tried putting cream on it for soft tissue damage, but it doesn’t seem to work, i’ve tried yoga but that didn’t help much either. Any suggestions? Does anyone know what it is and why it isn’t going away?

Alex, I am sorry for your problem. The body seeks to be in balance and this accident has thrown that out of whack. Even at this late point in time since the accident it is not too late to achieve this. I would like you to try these 2 movements to see if they help to stop the pain. Sit in a straight chair such as a kitchen chair and raise the left arm up as high as it can go. Note the height achieved and then do the right arm up as high as it can go. Note that arm’s height and you will find that one arm went up higher that the other. Start with the arm that went up the highest. Raise that arm up as high and hard as you can for 30 seconds and then rest it for 15 seconds. Repeat this twice more on that arm exactly the same way. Switch arms and now raise this arm up as high and hard as it can go for 30 seconds and then rest it for 15. Repeat this twice more exactly the same way. Now turn the head as far as it can go to the left and note the degree of rotation. Turn the head to the right and note the degree achieved. One direction is going to go further so start in that direction. Turn the head as far and hard as you can in that direction for 30 seconds and then rest for 15. Repeat this twice more and then do the opposite direction exactly the same way 3 times. Get up and move around. The neck should have less pain and there should be more mobility. Do these movements at least twice a day and the problem should stop. It would not be unusual to find as the pain decreases from the neck area for it to appear in another area. The body only processes pain in one area, that which is generating the most pain.
