neck pain headaches and dizziness

Neck injuries : A right pain in the neck!!?

I had bad whiplash about 5 years ago, most of the pain has gone, I have full neck mobility, xrays are fine but I suffer from headaches and dizziness when doing exercise. Its really frustrating! Went to see the back nurse and she said it might be scar tissue and I would have to put up with it. Ive been to numerous chiros and physios spent a fortune. Anyone got a miracle cure!!!
PS.
Dont take pain pills, not on disability and did it myself! :)
Any rude answers are just blocked, so dont bother……….

I also had whiplash through a car injury some years ago and still suffer intermittently, never found that miracle cure other than visiting the chiropractor every now and again when it really gets painful.

I too get dizziness when I exercise, especially if it involves tipping myself upside down or lowering my head in any movement and never realised it could be down to that (so nice to finally find out why this has suddenly happened!).

If it’s uncomfortable at night, I find that getting a ‘V’ shaped pillow to sleep on helps, if you haven’t got one of these, get a plump pillow and tie it tightly in the middle with a neck-tie or something like that so that the pillow then looks like a bow-tie, rest your neck in the middle of the pillow as it supports your neck and prevents you moving too much in the night.

Hope that helps a little..looks like it’s something we have to get on with unfortunately x
