neck pain cancer
is it common to get severe earaches and neck and throat pain from goiters ?
i have large goiters from graves disease and i had a thyroid uptake scan about two years ago and they are hot nodules so i was told no worry for thyroid cancer, my options were surgery to remove thyroid or radiation. don’t want either but wonder if this pain that is so bad is from my thyroid ? i was on tapazole with not much relief.
A goiter is a swollen thyroid that swells up in an effort to capture more body iodine when there isn’t enough iodine in the thyroid to make thyroid hormones. So basically this is from iodine deficiency.
The obvious choice to address this should have been to address the iodine deficiency. Your doctors suggesting you remove your thyroid or take dangerous radiation to kill it off doesn’t sound like they want to fix your iodine deficiency, because all those things do is to make you thyroidless and ill.
L-carnitine and low dose lithium seems to be a better option for those that need to lower the hypErness of Graves disease. Also properly addressing adrenals, and taking Lugol’s Solution or Iodoral (iodine/iodide) is what we take to reverse iodine deficiency.
