herniated disc spinal stenosis
Is Spinal Stenosis serious?
I herniated a disc (L4-L5) a year ago at work. After a year and a half of pain, problems, work comp docs, insurance companies, attorneys, and a settlement, not once was my spinal stenosis mentioned. It wasn’t until I had a second opinion (1 month ago) I would have never known about it. The doc said it was at the same level as the h.disc and was severe. So, why did none of the previous professionals mention it? Is it not serious enough to be considered a disability?
It all depends on the degree of the narrowing of the spine. My mother has been diagnosed with spinal stenosis and it has grown to an almost debilitating degree for her. So, it all depends on how severe your case is. There are different treatments including physical therapy, cortisone shots, or surgeries available to you
Good Luck
